Crab Curry(Nandu Kozhambu)

Is it too cold outside? Or do you have severe cold? Oops do you feel like having some food which might warm you up. Then crab curry would be the right food. This goes well with hot steamy rice.

Ingredients:

Crab - 10 (Medium size)
Onions - 3 (Finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (Big size , Finely chopped)
Cocounut - 5 tsps ( Finely Grated)
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp (Saufn, Sombhu)
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Corriander powder - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - few leaves
Salt - as required
Oil - 2 tsp

Making:
Clean and wash the crab thoroughly in cold water. Put the 2 tsp of oil in the pan and place over the stove. Once the oil is heated, add 1 tsp of fennel seeds. When fennel seeds become light brown(the aroma of the seeds can be sensed?), add the chopped onions and tomatoes and fry them till the onion becomes translucent. Now add the crab, turmeric powder, chilli powder, corriander powder, salt and 1 cup of water. Add the finely grated cocunut and allow the mixture to boil for 10-15 minutes. Add the curry leaves 5 minutes before switching off the stove. Hot juicy crab curry is ready.
